About Jobs Y'all
Who is sponsoring this campaign and website?
Jobs Y’all is a career exploration campaign sponsored by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC). TWC is the state agency charged with overseeing and providing workforce development services such as job matching, recruiting, and training to Texas job seekers and employers.
TWC's mission is to promote and support a workforce system that creates value and offers employers, individuals, and communities the opportunity to achieve and sustain economic prosperity. TWC strengthens the Texas economy by providing the workforce development component of the Governor's economic development strategy.
Why is TWC sponsoring Jobs Y’all and promoting these eight industries?
The Jobs Y’all campaign was born out of an industry task force where employers discussed ways to address the skills gap and how to attract more Texas students into the state’s projected in-demand industries.
What is the goal of the Jobs Y’all campaign?
The campaign objective is to inspire young Texans to consider pursuing education which will prepare them with the training and skills necessary to work in the state’s high-growth, high-wage careers of the future. It’s also important for students to understand all of the education and training options to get into these careers, whether through obtaining an industry-recognized certification, an associate degree, a bachelor's degree, master's degree or Ph.D.
